Secondary
Lower Secondary (Years 7–9) and Upper Secondary (Years 10–11): Building the Path to IGCSE Excellence.
At Bromsgrove Cambodia, the Lower Secondary programme (Years 7–9) serves as a bridge between Primary education and the specialised focus of the IGCSE curriculum. Building on the strong academic foundation established in Primary, pupils develop deeper subject knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a more independent approach to learning.
The Lower Secondary years emphasise exploration and mastery, allowing pupils to refine their academic strengths and interests. Core skills such as analytical writing, problem-solving, and scientific investigation are honed, alongside practical and creative proficiencies. Collaborative projects, leadership opportunities, and global awareness initiatives prepare pupils for the challenges of Upper Secondary and beyond.
In Upper Secondary (Years 10–11), pupils transition to the internationally recognised IGCSE programme, which provides a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum tailored to individual aptitudes and future aspirations. With a focus on academic excellence and personal growth, pupils engage in a range of subjects designed to prepare them for higher education and the global workplace.
Throughout these critical years, we support each pupil’s journey with personalised guidance, fostering resilience, independence, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Career counselling is introduced to help pupils understand their strengths, explore future opportunities, and make informed decisions about their educational and career pathways. By the end of Year 11, pupils are well-equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in further education and beyond.
Accelerated Programme
A 3-year Accelerated IGCSE Programme with a tailor-made approach offers numerous benefits by addressing the unique needs of each pupil. It provides personalised learning pathways, allowing pupils to strengthen their foundation and master subjects at their own pace, reducing stress while maintaining academic rigour. The extended timeline supports non-native English speakers in improving language skills, ensuring success in English-medium exams, and spreads the workload evenly, enabling pupils to engage in co-curricular activities and holistic development. With more time for mastery and in-depth study, pupils are better prepared for A-Levels or the IBDP. This flexible approach also allows pathways tailored to individual career goals, positioning pupils for future academic and personal success.
