School Support Services: Supporting Every Pupil’s Journey
At Bromsgrove Cambodia, we are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can achieve their full potential. Our School Support Services (SSS) are designed to meet the diverse needs of our learners, aligning with international best practices to deliver personalised and effective support.
Our Approach
We believe every child is unique, and our comprehensive support framework ensures all pupils are equipped with the tools, strategies, and confidence needed to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated team of trained professionals collaborates closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists to provide targeted interventions and holistic care.

Key Services
- Reading Support
We offer tailored reading programmes designed to strengthen literacy skills. Using evidence-based methods, we help pupils improve fluency, comprehension, and confidence in reading. For those needing additional help, we provide structured one-on-one or small group sessions to foster a love for reading and bridge any gaps.
- ESL (English as a Second Language) Support
Our ESL programme is tailored for non-native English speakers to accelerate language acquisition and integration into the curriculum. With a focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing, we provide intensive support to help pupils succeed academically while building confidence in their English communication skills.
- Remedial Support
For pupils who require additional academic support or are identified as pupils at academic risk, we offer remedial programmes targeting specific areas of need, whether in literacy, numeracy, or other subjects. These sessions are delivered in small groups or individually, with progress regularly monitored to ensure effective outcomes. Our goal is to help pupils close learning gaps and build the skills needed for sustained success.
- Behaviour Support
Our behaviour support framework is rooted in restorative practices and positive reinforcement, fostering a respectful and supportive learning environment. We work closely with pupils to develop strategies for self-regulation, resilience, and effective communication, ensuring a productive and harmonious school experience for all.
- Interventions and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
For pupils at academic risk or those with specific learning challenges, we design Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), also commonly known as Individual Education Plans (IEPs), to address their unique needs. These plans are developed collaboratively with teachers, parents, and, when necessary, external professionals. They include clear goals, tailored strategies, and regular progress reviews. ILPs provide a structured and personalised approach to learning, empowering pupils to achieve measurable outcomes and build confidence in their abilities.
- Learning Support and Accommodations
We provide tailored accommodations for pupils who may need additional support to succeed in their learning journey. These may include extra time in assessments, differentiated instruction, and access to technology. Such measures ensure equity in learning and allow every pupil to reach their potential.
- Special Educational Needs (SEN)/ Pupils with Additional Learning Needs (PALN)
Our inclusive approach ensures that pupils with diverse needs receive the support they need to thrive. We provide:
– In-class accommodations and differentiated instruction.
– Specialist-led interventions tailored to individual requirements.
– Collaboration with external experts for assessments and additional resources.
– Advocacy for every pupil to ensure they feel valued and included in the school community.
International Best Practices
Our School Support Services are informed by global standards, ensuring inclusivity and equity in education. We maintain small support groups, use evidence-based interventions, and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure the highest quality of care. We also follow the Response to Intervention (RTI) model, offering tiered support to identify and address pupils needs early, with targeted interventions that range from classroom strategies to intensive individualised support.
Partnering with Families
We recognise the vital role families play in a child’s success. Regular communication, progress reports, and collaborative goal setting ensure parents are actively involved in their child’s learning journey.
At Bromsgrove Cambodia, our School Support Services (SSS) empower pupils to overcome challenges, celebrate their strengths, and reach their full potential in a supportive, inclusive environment.
